The Chelsea goalkeeper was linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid but he says there’s no truth in the rumours, despite saying he’d like to return to La Liga.
Courtois previously said he would like to return to the Spanish top flight one day after enjoying loan spells with Atletico Madrid, but also stated he wouldn’t make a decision until he final year of his contract, which expires in 2018.

However, the Belgian international is currently enjoying his football with Chelsea and has no intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge just yet.
The 24-year-old is currently on international duty with Belgium as they prepare for a World Cup qualifier and friendly.
Courtois spoke to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, and responded to the Real Madrid links, he said: “I never had anything with Real Madrid. I did not see anything published, but I never had any contact with Real Madrid.

“I am happy at Chelsea. Everything is going very well – it is a great club. There is no reason not to be happy at Chelsea. You never know what will happen in the future, but at the moment I am very well, in a very good atmosphere.”
Courtois has enjoyed a fine run of form with Chelsea sit second in the Premier League, one point behind Liverpool.
The Belgian stopper has kept five clean sheets in five games, helping Antonio Conte’s men maintain their resurgence in the Premier League.
Chelsea disposed of Everton by a huge 5-0 score-line at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening, the Blues have now scored 14 in just four games.

Courtois also went on to discuss how difficult it was to leave Madrid in 2014 and his objectives for this season. He added: “Perhaps one day I can return – who knows? But right now I’m very happy at Chelsea.
“There was never any talk about a possible return to Atletico. Oblak is doing very well and I am happy about that. These are rumours that come out from people who do not know anything.
“I wish Atleti the best. I miss Madrid, I left many friends there, but I knew my future was in England.
“The team is doing well right now, I want to win the title with Chelsea”.
