The Chelsea striker spoke to the Lyon ace after his move to Liverpool collapsed earlier this summer.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud sat down for an exclusive interview with French publication RMC, and shared what he told Nabil fekir after his proposed move to Liverpool collapsed earlier this summer.
The Reds had seemingly agreed a £53 million deal to sign the France international from Lyon, only for the proposed move to collapse at the 11th hour.
The 25-year-old’s future with the Ligue 1 side remains unclear, but with just one day remaining before the transfer window slams shut, it is highly unlikely that he will be moving to the Premier League this summer.
Fekir was in scintillating form for Lyon last term, chalking up an impressive 23 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, with all of those coming from the number 10 position.
As well as Liverpool, Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Frenchman, and Blues hitman Olivier Giroud told French publication RMC how he tried to convince the Lyon ace to move to Stamford Bridge after his failed Anfield switch:

“I spoke to him when we were together in the French national team, when his move to Liverpool fell through. Then we discussed Chelsea, and I even think that Eden said a couple of words to him. We would obviously welcome him, he is a super player, but I don’t know if this is something that could happen as the window closes on Thursday.”
The transfer window slams shut tomorrow evening at 5pm, so if either Liverpool or Chelsea are to sign Fekir, they had better move fast.
