Tottenham Hotspur could now reportedly miss out on Vincent Kompany to Chelsea.
Earlier this week, The Daily Mail reported that Tottenham want to appoint Burnley boss Kompany as their new manager.
The former Manchester City defender is in charge of Burnley at the moment.
Burnley have already won automatic promotion to the Premier League for next season.
The Daily Mail reported that some at Tottenham feel that Kompany could be their Mikel Arteta.
Arteta has changed Arsenal during his time in charge of the North London club so far.
The Gunners could end up winning the Premier League title this season.

However, it seems that Chelsea are ready to get ahead of Tottenham in the race for Kompany.
The London Evening Standard have reported that the Belgian is on the four-man shortlist of managers that Chelsea are looking at.
Now, this means that there is a very good chance that Kompany could end up becoming the new Chelsea boss.
Of course, these things take time, but that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have already identified their main candidates shows that they want to get a deal done soon.
