Chelsea linked to Eric Dier, along with Bayern.
Chelsea fans may choke on their morning cornflakes to read the latest player their club are interested in signing: Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier.
The interest is reported from the credible source of The Times, an exclusive from deputy football correspondent Matt Hughes.
The report states Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen on Dier, due to his ability to fit into his three man defence and also feature in midfield, while the fact he is English also helps.

German giants Bayern Munich are also keen, perhaps with a stronger interest, with Chelsea said to be monitoring the situation, with Dier spending time on Tottenham’s bench in recent weeks.
Chelsea fans are unlikely to welcome Dier with open arms, if it all. In fact they might just hate the idea.
Dier was lucky to escape without being sent off at Stamford Bridge last season after hacking down Chelsea players in a bad-tempered clash as the Blues ended Tottenham’s title challenge.
The bitterness towards the England international still remains, with Chelsea fans ripping into Dier on social media last month after he called out Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera.

Football is a fickle business, but this is one deal which it is almost impossible to imagine going through.
Dele Alli in Tottenham white on one side, and Dier in Chelsea blue on another? The very idea may make Tottenham fans sick to their stomachs.
The concerning note for Tottenham fans is a line in the report which reads: “Dier signed a new five-year deal at White Hart Lane in September and is unlikely to force a move in January, but may consider his options next summer if his situation does not improve in the second half of the season.”
He is reportedly frustrated at a lack of action in his preferred position in midfield, utilised in defence in recent weeks or sidelined entirely.
