Arsenal and Everton could suffer a massive blow in their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha with fellow Premier League rival Chelsea reportedly interested.

The Toffees are in the race for the Ivorian attacker with fellow Premier League side Arsenal but the report reveals that Marco Silva’s side are worried that Frank Lampard’s Chelsea could swoop in ahead of them to sign Zaha this summer.
The Blues’ reported interest would come in as welcome news for Palace thanks to the ongoing transfer ban imposed at the Stamford Bridge club. If Chelsea do win the race for Zaha, Palace would most likely be able to keep him at the club for another season which would be massively beneficial to them.
Palace also had Chelsea’s Michy Bayshuayi on loan in the second half of last season and if talks progress well between the two clubs, the Eagles could well have the Belgian included in the deal which would bring him back to Selhurst Park either on another loan deal or permanently.

However, the biggest issue for Palace would be to convince Zaha to continue in South London for another year after signing for Chelsea. Zaha has made it clear that he wants to fulfil his dreams of playing European football for which he will have to wait at least another year if he joins Chelsea.
With Arsenal unwilling to fork out as much money as Palace wants, Chelsea would ideally remain Zaha’s best option to achieve his ambitions unless Everton could convince him to join their attempt of achieving European football by the end of next season.
