Fabrizio Romano has said on his YouTube channel that Chelsea have promised Shakhtar Donetsk winger and Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk that he will go straight into Graham Potter’s starting lineup.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that one of the factors that played in Mudryk picking Chelsea was the guarantee that he will go straight into the starting lineup.
According to Sky Sports, Arsenal also want(ed) to sign the 22-year-old winger in the January transfer window, but they could not match Shakhtar’s valuation of the Ukraine international.
Chelsea did.
Romano said: “Chelsea promised to Mudryk to be part of the starting XI immediately, to be a really important player immediately.”
Chelsea better option than Arsenal for Mykhailo Mudryk?
In our view, Mykhailo Mudryk will get straight into the Chelsea starting lineup, but he would have struggled to play week in and week out for Arsenal.
Chelsea have injury problems in attack, and some players are also out of form.

So, there is a very good chance that the 22-year-old will go into Potter’s starting lineup and stay there even if he does not have a good debut.
Where would the winger have played at Arsenal?
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are the two wide players in attack for the Gunners at the moment.
Would Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta have dropped either of them to accommodate Mudryk now?
No.
Maybe next season, but not right now..
