Chelsea destroyed Arsenal 6-0 in the latest London derby between the clubs.

Chelsea completely destroyed London rivals in this lunchtime’s early kick-off to solidify their position at the top of the Premier League.

The Blues ran out comfortable 6-0 winners in what was predicted to be a very tight game before kick-off, thanks to goals from Samuel Eto’o, Andre Schurrle, Eden Hazard, a brace from Oscar and a first goal for Mohamed Salah.

Jose Mourinho’s men were helped by a complete blunder on the part of Andre Marriner who sent off Kieran Gibbs following a handball from Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain which left fans from both sides bemused.

Here are our player ratings for the game.

Petr Cech – 6

A decent game for the Czech goalkeeper. Didn’t have much to do for large parts but was solid when called on. Good early save from an Olivier Giroud chance.

Branislav Ivanovic – 6

Patrolled the right hand side well and was solid in both defence and attack. Delivery could perhaps have been a little better but no one is complaining.

Gary Cahill – 6

Another very good game from the Chelsea centre back. Made one bad error which didn’t cost the Blues but otherwise played well.

John Terry – 6

He’ll be tested far more thoroughly in other games. Good experience and ensured that his side stayed switched on despite their runaway lead.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 7

Looks as though he’s been playing at left-back for his whole career. Was difficult for Arsenal to get the better of in all aspects.

Andre Schurrle – 7

A great game and a superb goal. Mirrored Eden Hazard well, playing effectively out wide and moving in centrally to get involved in the creative, build up play.

Nemanja Matic – 6

Didn’t really have a lot to do and looked a little lost when Chelsea pressed forward. He’s a defensive player and today he did his job well.

David Luiz – 6

More typical, charismatic play from Chelsea’s Brazilian. Seemed to love rubbing Arsenal’s noses in it and snapped around the midfield constantly.

Oscar – 8

Chelsea’s main man today. Arsenal just couldn’t handle him. Great composure to bag his brace and he looked like making things happen every time he got on the ball.

Eden Hazard – 8

Doesn’t seem to have a bad game at the moment, a constant threat throughout. He showed great composure from the penalty spot.

Samuel Eto’o – 4

Only give such a low rating because he was only on the field for ten minutes. However, he produced a superb finish during that time.

Subs

Fernando Torres – 6

He’ll be disappointed not to have got on the score sheet but he worked hard throughout the game.

Mohamed Salah – 5

He’ll be delighted to have got his first goal in Chelsea colours and linked up with the midfield and the attack well.

John Obi Mikel – 5

Brought on late to sure up the midfield. Did exactly what was asked of him in place of Luiz, solidifying next to Matic.
