Chelsea have failed with an approach for Emile Smith Rowe but would be willing to offer players to Arsenal in search of a deal.
Arsenal are refusing to sell Emile Smith Rowe to Chelsea but the Blues are eyeing a swap deal.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Arsenal have rejected Chelsea’s initial approach for Smith Rowe.
Chelsea are keen to bring in another attacking player and Smith Rowe is one name they are considering.
Michael Olise was the top target before he chose to stay with Crystal Palace whilst Brennan Johnson seems to prefer a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal don’t want to sell to a direct rival but could be tempted if Chelsea pay way, way over the odds.
In fact, it’s stated that Chelsea have ‘shown a willingness’ to send players to Arsenal as part of the deal.
No names are mentioned but Chelsea have already sold one player to Arsenal this summer with Kai Havertz making the move to North London.

Who could Chelsea offer to Arsenal in Emile Smith Rowe deal?
It’s hard to see just who Chelsea would offer up and who Arsenal would even be interested in signing.
Arsenal are looking at defensive options right now with Jurrien Timber’s knee injury leaving them a little short.
Trevoh Chalobah has the kind of versatility that Mikel Arteta likes and he could fill in for Timber.
Marc Cucurella appears to be available and Arsenal may look at another natural left back after letting Kieran Tierney go.

Cucurella doesn’t seem like a great fit for Arteta’s inverted full back approach though and we can’t see the Gunners wanting him.
Armando Broja would be an interesting option; The Sun reported in May 2022 that Arsenal wanted to bring Broja to North London.
The Albanian represents a more physical striking option than anything Arsenal have right now with Arteta and Edu seemingly appreciative of his qualities.
It’s hard to see Arsenal accepting a Chelsea cast-off for Smith Rowe and any offer will have to include somebody can make a real impact in Arteta’s quest for the Premier League title.
