Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are ‘growing in confidence’ that they will sign Tottenham Hotspur target Raheem Sterling from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The Athletic are reporting this afternoon (3:47pm) that Chelsea are confident that they will compete the signing of the former Liverpool attacking midfielder this summer.
The report has claimed that Sterling, who can also operate as a winger, ‘has been talking to people about what life is like at Chelsea and what Thomas Tuchel is like as a manager, and one source at the club believes the only stumbling block to a deal being completed is the size of the fee’.
Sterling cost Manchester City an initial £44 million in transfer fees when they signed him rom Liverpool in 2015 (The Athletic).
Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that Tottenham are interested in Sterling, who is on £300,000-a-week star (Spotrac).
