A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic says the Blues have to improve at Liverpool tomorrow.
Chelsea were narrow winners against QPR last weekend before a 1-1 draw with Maribor in the Champions League.
“We know how our performances have to be to get the points. If we play against Liverpool like we did on Wednesday, we know it’s not possible to get a result,” he told the press.
Blues midfielder Nemanja Matic claims Chelsea know how to get a win at Anfield.
Chelsea won 2-0 against Liverpool last season when the Reds were heavy favourites to put one hand on the Premier League trophy.
“Many teams this season tried to park the bus in front of the goal against us but we still won – If you defend you have to know how to defend,” said Matic.
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown is backing the blues, suggesting Daniel Sturridge would have been the difference for Liverpool.
The former Chelsea striker has been injured since he picked up a thigh problem during the first international break of the season.
“If Daniel Sturridge is back, he will give them so much confidence and he could be the difference,” he told the Daily Mail.
