Chelsea’s Loftus-Cheek and Spurs’ Kane are preparing for England’s World Cup campaign in Russia.

Kane, 24, was one of the first names on Gareth Southgate’s team sheet ahead of the World Cup, and has since named the goal machine England’s captain for the tournament.
Loftus-Cheek was perhaps a surprise name on the 23-man list, though his form on loan at Crystal Palace this season has been nothing short of remarkable – scoring two goals and adding five assists from midfield.

Still contracted to Chelsea, Loftus-Cheek applauded Kane for getting the captaincy and spoke of the striker’s “ridiculous” shot power in training as the two combine at St. George’s Park.
“His shooting is ridiculous,” Loftus-Cheek said. “In training, the power he gets behind it. I was behind one of his shots, and he didn’t even take a run up – it was under his feet as well and the velocity on the shot.
“He’s atop guy and he deserves everything he is getting right now and well done on getting the captaincy.”

England have begun their preparations on the training ground and will face Nigeria on June 2 and Costa Rica five days later before jetting out to Russia.
Southgate’s men will be looking to top Group G of the competition, as they begin their campaign on June 18 against Tunisia before meeting Panama six days later and Belgium on June 28.
