Fabregas hoping to face Arsenal with Chelsea this weekend.
Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas celebrates scoring their third goal
Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas is hoping he has done enough to win a starting spot for Chelsea against his old club this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Fabregas has told The Times of his admiration for the Gunners, admitting he owes them everything after they handed him a debut as a 16-year-old and even gave him the captaincy later in his spell at the club.
Fabregas said: “It’s a special fixture because I’ve lived moments there that I’ve never lived in my career. It’s a very special place for me and that’s it. No matter what I hear or what they say to me, Arsenal will always be a fantastic, special club in my heart.
“They gave me absolutely everything and I will repeat it until I die, no matter what, they will always be in my heart.”

Fabregas quit Arsenal to join Barcelona in 2010, yet stunned the football world when he joined Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea in 2014.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was not keen to re-sign him, yet it was still a surprise he chose to switch to the Blues.

His move dismayed the Arsenal faithful, and it was rewarded with a Premier League title winner’s medal at the end of his first season at the club.
The second campaign was more difficult, and Fabregas is now working under his third manager in the space of a year at Chelsea, Antonio Conte.
He has not featured much this season but netted twice in the EFL Cup win over Leicester City in midweek, and hopes to be in line to face Arsenal this coming weekend.
