Mauricio Pochettino could reportedly sign a contract with Chelsea in the coming days amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Mauricio Pochettino update amid Chelsea and Tottenham links
The Independent have reported that Chelsea’s talks with former Tottenham boss Pochettino is going smoothly.
Now, while the Argentine boss and Chelsea are still in negotiations and have not finalised anything yet, “the possibility of a contract being signed this week hasn’t been completely ruled out”, according to the report.
Frank Lampard was recently appointed the Chelsea manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Graham Potter.
Interestingly, during his time as the Brighton and Hove Albion boss, Potter described Pochettino, then in charge of Spurs, as a “top manager”, as quoted on Sky Sports.
Blow for Tottenham fans
And this development on the future of Pochettino will come as a blow for Tottenham, especially for the fans.

The Times reported in March that the 51-year-old is among the managers Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is looking at.
Last week, The Daily Mail reported that some players at Tottenham want Pochettino to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs fans love Pochettino and would love for the former Paris Saint-Germain to return to the club.
During his time at Tottenham, the Argentine regularly guided the team to the Premier League top four and also led them to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
Former Tottenham forward and talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil said on talkSPORT (6:24am, April 21, 2023) that Pochettino “wants to go back to Tottenham”.
