Chelsea would not be against the idea of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers joining their squad.
The young Englishman is one of the most exciting players to watch in the Premier League and has been impressing since last season.
The Chelsea Chronicle has already reported this summer that Rogers is highly thought of at Stamford Bridge.
However, fans keen to see him in a Chelsea shirt will not like this latest update.
Morgan Rogers no longer a target for Chelsea

Chelsea have decided to step back from their pursuit of Rogers, according to The Athletic.
The club are now looking at younger prospects rather than established names like the 23-year-old Aston Villa midfielder.
The move comes after Rogers signed a new deal with the Villans, which may have complicated any potential transfer.
Despite including him in his Premier League Team of the Week for matchweek 12, Troy Deeney has been quite critical of Rogers.
The former Watford striker believes that interest from Chelsea in the summer was a distraction for the England international.
Even if the Blues are no longer interested, Rogers’ talent will keep him on the radar of other clubs.
Why Chelsea may regret passing on Morgan Rogers in 2026
While Chelsea’s front line is already looking strong, adding another option in the No.10 role like Rogers would not hurt.
Facundo Buonanotte has not made much of an impact since arriving at Stamford Bridge and looks set to return to Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the season.
If that happens, Joao Pedro could end up as the only backup for Cole Palmer in that role, while also covering time as a striker.
Rogers would have been a costly backup, but his versatility out wide would still have provided opportunities for him to get minutes. Still, a move seems unlikely based on what we are hearing now.
Chelsea may instead look to stick with their current squad or revisit interest in Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez.
