Wallace is now recovering after being knocked unconscious against Ajax.
This summer Chelsea once again let plenty of players make a move to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. The likes of bErtrand Traore and Josh McEachran made the move, as did Brazilian right-back Wallace.
Signed from Fluminense in 2013 he went on to have a disappointing period on loan at Inter Milan last season. Now, at Vitesse, he is certainly having a more impressive season.
He joined Vitesse in June and has become a regular in the side, despite the fact the team is struggling in the Eredivisie.
They did not struggle last night however, thrashing Ajax 4-0 in the KNVB Cup at the Amsterdam ArenA.
But for Wallace it was not a game, or a night to remember. That is, if he even can remember the game.
Because he came off after just five minutes after what was a sickening clash of heads with Thulani Serero of Ajax.
The Chelsea right-back was stretchered from the pitch in a bad way, but fortunately for the player no serious damage was reported.
