Chelsea want Leon Bailey and could launch a move to sign the Aston Villa winger if Christian Pulisic pushes to leave in 2023.
The Blues had a positive start under Graham Potter but results of late have been concerning to say the least.
Chelsea went wild with signings before the summer window but now look a little chaotic in terms of their squad composition.
The deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now looks like a head-scratcher whilst Raheem Sterling is yet to really justify his price tag.

Chelsea want Leon Bailey
Chelsea may need to sell some players in order for Potter to shape his squad in 2023.
One of them may well be winger Christian Pulisic given that he hasn’t really nailed down a starting role at Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail now claim that Chelsea already have a replacement in mind should Pulisic push to leave.
It’s stated that Chelsea would like to sign Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey.
The Blues have allegedly fancied Bailey for years having compiled positive scouting reports on him during his time with Genk and Bayer Leverkusen.
The report also notes that Bailey is ‘close friends’ with Raheem Sterling and the two Kingston-born attackers could now join forces in West London.
It should also be noted that Bailey worked well with Kai Havertz at Bayer Leverkusen and Chelsea may believe that his familiarity with two players at Chelsea can make him very valuable.
Bailey, 25, had an injury-hit first season at Villa having completed a £30million move from Leverkusen in 2021.
This season has been much more encouraging for Bailey, bagging three goals and two assists in 14 Premier League appearances.
Unai Emery has already altered Bailey’s position, turning him from a winger into a striker in his 4-4-2 system.
Bailey absolutely terrorised Manchester United in Emery’s first game in charge and his promising start to the season now leaves Chelsea considering a 2023 bid.
