Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have identified Guido Rodriguez as a potential replacement for N’Golo Kante, who is on the radar of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Daily Star reported over the weekend that Arsenal are interested in signing Kante from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are reportedly planning a move for the France international midfielder.

Estadio Deportivo have reported that Chelsea are looking at Real Betis and Argentina international defensive midfielder Rodriguez as a potential replacement for Kante, who earns £290,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

N’Golo Kante boost for Arsenal

In our view, Arsenal have received a boost in their quest to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

If Chelsea have started looking at potential replacements for the Frenchman, then it suggests that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are open to selling him.

Kante has had injury problems in recent times, but the 31-year-old is a very good player who would make Arsenal better.

The Frenchman is one of the best central/defensive midfielders around, and we think that he would make Arsenal better and stronger in the middle of the park.
