Micah Richards has waxed lyrical about Liverpool transfer target Christopher Nkunku and claimed that Jamie Carragher told him that ‘Chelsea have signed’ the RB Leipzig forward.
The former Manchester City defender was praising the France international for scoring during RB Leipzig’s 3-2 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night and stated that he is in the ‘form of his life’, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (25/10/22 at 10:25 pm).
After scoring 35 goals and supplying 20 assists last season in all competitions, Nkunku just can’t keep out of the action because, after 18 games this season, he already has 12 goals to his name, including two strikes in the Champions League.

Given the stupid amount of numbers the 24-year-old is putting up, it isn’t a surprise that the elite teams in Europe are chasing his signature.
There have been strong rumours that Nkunku has already completed a Chelsea medical upon signing for the club in 2023, but it seems as though the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool aren’t giving up on his signature.
Nonetheless, Richards was full of praise for what the versatile forward is producing in the Champions League.
“But the second goal, Nkunku, how many times have we spoken about him in the Champions League,” said Richards.
“He’s in the form of his life. It’s a wonderful finish, just at the top of the crossbar. Jamie (Carragher) said Chelsea have signed him. There are rumours that is going to be the case, I can see why.”

NKUNKU WILL TAKE THE PREMIER LEAGUE BY STORM
If it so happens to be that Nkunku does land on the Premier League stage, then he will take English football by storm and he would be a welcome addition to any of the teams near the top.
Of course, if it so happens to be Chelsea, then given the start Graham Potter has made, he will enjoy using the versatile talents in the Frenchman’s game.
Throughout his career, Potter has shown that he never likes to keep a settled side and given Nkunku’s ability to play across the front three, then he will be fed in this Chelsea side.
It remains to be seen where Chelsea will be in 12 months, but so far, they are cooking, unbeaten and heading to the knockout stages of Europe’s biggest club competiton.
