Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Graham Potter’s Chelsea have reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk over the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal yet to increase their bid.
The Italian journalist has reported that Chelsea have agreed to pay Shakhtar €100 million (£88.69 million) in transfer fees for Mudryk.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has added that Arsenal’s final offer as of now is still €95 million (£84.26 million) including add-ons.
Chelsea to sign Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk
Meanwhile, The Athletic are reporting that Mudryk has decided to move to Chelsea despite interest from Arsenal.
The report has claimed that the 22-year-old Ukraine international has agreed personal terms and will sign a seven-year-plus contract.
Blow for Arsenal
Mykhailo Mudryk deciding to join Chelsea is a blow for Arsenal, who have been trying to get a deal for the 22-year-old done for a whilenow.
It seems that the Blues have been able to convince the winger to move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are paying more money than Arsenal for the winger, and maybe that has proved to the Ukraine international that the former UEFA Champions League winners want him more than the Gunners.
