Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea and Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are reportedly determined to sign Matheus Franca in the summer transfer window.
According to Globo Esporte, Chelsea and Crystal Palace are actively trying to sign Matheus Franca from Flamengo.
The Brazilian news outlet has claimed that both Chelsea and Palace have made bids to Flamengo for Franca.
Although the report has not stated how much the two London clubs have offered for the playmaker, it has noted that they will be able to meet Flamengo’s demands of €25 million (£21.50 million) for him.
Chelsea and Palace have different views on what to do with Franca next season.
Globo Esporte has reported that Chelsea plan to send the 19-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder to French club Strasbourg on a loan deal.

Palace, though, are planning to draft the teenager into the first team rightaway.
Chelsea could be more appealing than Crystal Palace for Matheus Franca
In our opinion, Flamengo playmaker Matheus Franca would find a move to Chelsea more appealing than a switch to Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
After all, Chelsea are a bigger club who have won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League in recent years.
The Blues are a global brand.
Although Palace are planning to play the Brazilian in the first team next season, you have to ask whether the teenager would get much playing time at Selhurst Park.
Franca could need some time to get used to the rigours and intensity of the Premier League.
Spending a season at Strasbourg would give the teenager the chance to get used to playing in Europe and then try to make an impact at Chelsea.
Franca has made five starts and four substitute appearances for Flamengo in the Brazilian league this season.
The 19-year-old, who can also operate as a forward, has scored one goal in those games.
