Chelsea overcame Leicester City in impressive fashion this weekend.

Chelsea's Pedro shakes hands with Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri as he is substituted off

When Chelsea signed Spanish international Pedro from Barcelona in 2015 it was hailed as a master-stroke, but despite his undeniable talent the 29-year-old’s time at Stamford Bridge has been more hit than miss to date.

In 49 matches Pedro has scored eight goals and provided four assists – not exactly the return expected of him after his time at the Nou Camp – yet on Saturday he put in a fine performance against reigning Premier League champions Leicester City, suggesting all is not lost just yet.

Chelsea’s goals came courtesy of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Victor Moses, with Antonio Conte’s side running out 2-0 winners. But during his 68 minutes on the pitch Pedro looked far more like his old self and Blues boss Antonio Conte will have taken plenty of positives from the encounter.
