Chelsea crushed Manchester United 4-0 at the weekend.
Chelsea ensured that Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge was a horror show, with the Portuguese manager’s Manchester United side crashing to a 4-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
It was in stark contrast to United’s defensive master-class against Liverpool just a few days earlier, with the visitors falling behind in the first minute and never recovering.
Pedro’s early goal was followed by strikes from Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante and every single Chelsea player deserved praise for a job well done.
That said recent addition Marcos Alonso was arguably the unsung hero, looking every inch a Premier League star and laying on an assist while operating brilliantly in Antonio Conte’s recently introduced formation.
The 25-year-old has been around the block somewhat but on this evidence he may have found a long-term home at Stamford Bridge.
