Chelsea fans have weighed in on Tottenham midfielder’s threat to Manchester United star.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier’s night for England ended in controversy as he was involved in a bust up with Manchester United and Spain ace Ander Herrera.
Dier accused Herrera of aiming an elbow at him, and reacted furiously.
After the game he vowed revenge, stating simply, via The BBC: “I don’t need him to apologise. I’ll see him soon.”

Tottenham play United on December 11 at Old Trafford, but first Dier has to get to that point.
In late November Tottenham face Chelsea, an opponent against who Dier had difficulty in keeping his discipline last season.

With Tottenham’s title challenge ebbing away in the April clash, Dier lost his head, and was lucky not to be sent off after a succession of heavy challenges on Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard among others.
While Dier has his eye on revenge against Herrera, Chelsea players may have the Tottenham midfielder’s card marked themselves, and he will need to keep it cool and avoid a sending off, if he is to even be available to face United and Herrera.
Chelsea fans have not forgotten the incidents, and Dier’s comments saw them weigh in on Twitter and brand him a hypocrite for complaining about rough treatment.
Dier has been in and out of the Tottenham side this season, and Mauricio Pochettino will have the option of benching him if he fears he will step over the line.
It will be up to the midfielder to show he will not be a liability amid a crucial stretch of games against West Ham, Chelsea and Manchester United, and put the team’s success before petty personal revenge missions.
