Chelsea were surprisingly linked to Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier.
Tottenham Hotspur ace Eric Dier has been linked with a shock move to Chelsea, with The Times reporting they monitoring him along with Bayern Munich.
Dier is into his third season at Tottenham but has played less frequently this campaign, due to the summer arrival of Victor Wanyama.

His versatility makes him attractive to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, but it is really hard to envision a scenario where Spurs would sell him to their rivals.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy does not consider Chelsea on friendly terms, with bitterness existing ever since Spurs blocked Luka Modric’s switch to the Blues in 2011.
Chelsea angered Spurs two years later by beating them to the signature of Willian, who they thought they had signed, and there is little chance of Tottenham willingly letting Dier leave.
Dier signed a new contract earlier this year, and his spell out of the side is surely only temporary.
