Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma enjoyed a successful time at Everton last season, but could he return to Goodison Park before the window slams shut?

Chelsea supporters on Twitter are confident that reported Everton target Kurt Zouma will stay at the club amid rumours he has handed in a transfer request.
The Sunday People (21/7, page 54) report that Zouma is planning to tell Chelsea that he wants to re-join Everton this summer, with the defender keen on regular football so he can break into France’s squad for Euro 2020.
Chelsea are under a transfer embargo, so it has given past loanees more of a chance of making a name for themselves at Stamford Bridge rather at another club.
Centre-back Zouma is seemingly one of those players as Frank Lampard will be keen to stamp his authority on the club after he made the switch from Derby County.
The Chelsea faithful are more than confident that Zouma will be part of Lampard’s plans, as they backed the Frenchman to break into the starting XI.

David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger are Chelsea’s main back two, and given Zouma’s Premier League experience, he’ll no doubt back himself at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new campaign.
If he doesn’t move to Everton then Marco Silva will surely be keen to add another fresh pair of legs to his backline as the Toffees prepare to better their top-eight finish from last season.
