The Blues defender has signed a new deal in West London until 2020.
Chelsea fans have been reacting to the news on social media that defender Cesar Azpilicueta has signed an additional three years to his current deal in West London.
The Blues versatile full-back has signed on until 2020 and has become an integral part of the Chelsea team, in whatever system and under various managers.

Each one has clearly liked what they have seen with the Spaniard’s workrate, tackling, passing success rate and all-round contribution to the team.
Since making the switch from Olympique Marseille in 2012, the 28 year-old initially slotted in to a natural right-back role for the West Londoners, replacing the fading Paulo Ferreira and also displacing Branislav Ivanovic into a centre-back role.
With the arrival of Jose Mourinho, Azpilicueta was switched to the opposite left flank in the stead of Ashley Cole.
The arrival of Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid led to fears for the Spaniard’s future at Chelsea, however once again a high level of work-rate and team ethic, forced the Brazilian into a return to Madrid the following campaign.

Cesar Azpilicueta has been a regular fixture for Chelsea over the last four seasons keeping 44 domestic clean sheet – with a further eight already this term – scoring twice and assisting on an impressive 16 occasions.
Now into his fifth year, the defender has been deployed in a back three. With David Luiz and Gary Cahill in a 3-4-3 wing-back system, the defender seems more at home than ever before.
The Spaniard told the Club’s official website he was “really happy to have signed a new contract”.
