Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side are said to be keen to snap up Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham.

Tammy Abraham of Chelsea dribbles the ball during the international friendly between Chelsea FC and Perth Glory at Optus Stadium on July 23, 2018 in Perth, Australia.

Chelsea fans have suggested that Tammy Abraham needs a loan to the Championship, amid rumours that he could join Aston Villa.

The Birmingham Mail suggest that Steve Bruce’s side are keen on Abraham, as Villa look to strengthen their strike-force.

However, Abraham had a chance to impress for Chelsea in their final pre-season friendly over the summer last night.

Maurizio Sarri gave the youngster the chance to start up-front against Lyon, but Chelsea fans were unimpressed by the Villa target’s display.

Villa’s chances of signing Abraham may well have increased after the prospect’s poor showing, and he would be an exciting addition at Villa Park.

Abraham tore apart the Championship as a teenager, and he should have grown even more as a player since then.

Villa have only made additions to their goalkeeping department so far this summer, but are understood to be looking to improve other areas of their squad before the window closes.
