Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo is no longer an option for Leeds after he clinched a move to Spanish side Leganes.

Nigerian international Omeruo sparked rumours last month after hinting he could be Elland Road bound.

Omeruo had replied to Chelsea teammate Jamal Blackman on Instagram after he clinched his move to Leeds, saying ‘Wait for meeee’.

Omeruo Comment

Omeruo has played at two World Cups or Nigeria and has been at Chelsea since 2012, yet is still to play a competitive game for the Blues.

The 24-year-old centre-back has been farmed out on loan again to Leganes, and is embracing the challenge.

Leeds are still in need of a centre-back, and Omeruo, who has previously starred on loan at Middlesbrough would have been a good option.

The Whites currently have two Chelsea players on loan, Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman.
