Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill is said to be on Manuel Pellegrini’s wishlist at West Ham United.

Cahill has barely featured for Chelsea this term, with Maurizio Sarri picking other options.
It is thought that the England international could be available in January, and West Ham are reportedly ready to pounce.
The Hammers are said to want to add the experienced centre-back, and he could be an excellent signing for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
West Ham have shown an effort to bring in younger players since Pellegrini took charge, with their transfer policy changing somewhat.

But Cahill could provide a good short-term options for the Hammers over the second half of the season.
West Ham need reliable cover at centre-back, as there are question marks over most their current options.
Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid struggle to stay fit, while Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop show promise but are young.
Cahill, on the other hand, has won the Premier League and would offer Pellegrini proven quality if he was to join.
And as a covering option for a few years, West Ham would do well to find better than Cahill.
