Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool want to sign Mason Mount, but Graham Potter’s Chelsea could use the England international midfielder to sign Federico Chiesa from Juventus next summer, according to CMW.

Chelsea could use Liverpool target Mason Mount to sign Federico Chiesa

The Italian news outlet have reported that Chelsea manager Graham Potter personally likes Chiesa and wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023.

Juventus value the 25-year-old winger at €100 million (£87 million) and could sell him if they are able to sign Mount from Chelsea, according to the report.

Blow for Liverpool

This will come as a blow for Liverpool.

That’s because the Merseyside club are interested in Mount.

The Guardian reported this week that Liverpool and Juventus are tracking the 23-year-old England international midfielder, described as “phenomenal” by former Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger (now at Real Madrid) in The Players’ Tribune in May 2022.

Now, Chelsea will surely prefer selling Mount to a foreign club than to Liverpool as it would make the Reds stronger.

And if they are able to sign a player they want – that is, Chiesa – than the Blues are not going to give it a second thought.
