On loan Bristol City striker Tammy Abraham has been in super form for Bristol City.
Bristol’s Tammy Abraham celebrates his goal
Eddie Newton has insisted that he has high hopes for Tammy Abraham, who is impressing on loan at Bristol City, in quotes reported by Metro.
The 19-year-old, who made his professional debut for Chelsea at Liverpool in May, is the top scorer in the Championship with eight goals and has managed 11 strikes in just 14 appearances overall for Bristol City this term.
His early season form has also seen the teenager be rewarded with a call up to the England U-21’s squad this month as well as winning the Championship Player of the Month award.
But Chelsea’s loan player technical coach Eddie Newton believes he has the quality to make it into Antonio Conte’s senior squad one day should he sustain his performances.

Bristol City’s Tammy Abraham celebrates scoring their goal
As quoted in Metro, he said: “We are keeping a close eye on him but the thing I like about Tammy is that he takes on board good advice, works and puts it into action as well. I see a bright future for the young man, I really do.
“Tammy is a very driven young man. The way he articulates himself, you can tell that this boy knows what he wants and where he wants to go to. He knows he has to be patient, but he is not patient at the same time.”
Newton went on to say: “Our job is to guide him because he will have dips. He’s a young player and will have a dip during the season. He has started on fire [at Bristol City] and we are very pleased.
“We are also very aware that it is not going to be plain sailing all the way through the season.”
Bristol City’s Tammy Abraham celebrates scoring their goal
Abraham had a prolific strike rate during his time at Chelsea’s youth sides where he scored an incredible 72 goals in 101 games at across a number of age ranges and he’s been able to continue that form for Lee Johnson and Bristol City.
Bristol City are benefiting from Abraham’s early form right now but surely Chelsea cannot afford to let go of this young star?
