Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer – but Victor Orta should request Chelsea include Kenedy in the move, given the left-footer is supposedly a target for the Whites.
Raphinha, 25, is likely to end his two-year stint at Elland Road – in which he is a fan favourite in Yorkshire. Playing 66 times in two seasons for Leeds, the Brazil international has had a hand in 28 matches.
Chelsea are on pole – with Barcelona unable to afford him, Arsenal signing Gabriel Jesus and Tottenham wanting Richarlison. A fee is believed to be in the region of £55million for the ex-Rennes and Sporting Lisbon ace.
But Leeds should request a player in a deal to take Raphinha – in the form of a fellow Brazilian, Kenedy. The Mail said earlier this summer that Leeds want to sign the 26-year-old, who is the final year of his contract.

Leeds should request Kenedy in Raphinha deal
Kenedy is a player capable of numerous positions. Left-back, left wing or even as a 10, the Brazilian’s enormous potential is yet to reach full maximum. One of a number of players on the Chelsea loan conveyor belt.
Spending 18 months at Newcastle, Kenedy was highly praised by Toon supporters during his 41 appearances. His loan at Granada in 2020-21, he was excellent, having a hand in 13 goals in 43 appearances.
Likely to be available for a bargain fee, Chelsea are surely more than willing to sell him. Leeds want to sign him, with Victor Orta clearly a fan. So, including him would make sense to Chelsea.
For Leeds, it would see them bring in a player to provide competition for Junior Firpo at left-back, and Jack Harrison on the wing. Kenedy would also benefit, joining a side where game time is much more likely.
