Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham today, and aimed a sly dig at the Argentine, claiming that he wouldn’t be in a job at Stamford Bridge if he went four years without winning a trophy, as quoted by the Sun.

The Italian has made a fine start to life in charge of the Blues, guiding his side to an unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign, and they currently sit in third spot in the table, four points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.

Chelsea are playing some brilliant football this term, and they will be looking to increase their one point lead over Tottenham in the Premier League table with a win at Wembley today.

Sarri spoke to reporters yesterday, and responded when asked whether he believes he would still be in a job if he went four years without winning some silverware, as quoted by the Sun:

“I don’t know but I don’t think so. For him, it’s easier, he’s working with the same team for four years.”

Tottenham can jump above Chelsea in the table with a win at Wembley today, whilst Sarri’s men can increase the gap to four points over Poch’s side with a victory.
