This summer gives Tottenham their clearest shot to sign Nathan Ake.

Tottenham Hotspur have their best chance to sign Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake this summer thanks to Chelsea’s transfer ban.
The Telegraph reported earlier this season that Spurs are keen on Ake.
The report noted that their move was dependent on Chelsea, who have an option to re-sign the Dutchman.
Chelsea are currently facing a transfer ban for the upcoming window. BBC Sport report their latest appeal was rejected.
This gives Tottenham a clear path to Ake if they decide to step up their interest. It may be their one and only opportunity.

Ake – valued at £40m by The Sun – proved his quality against Spurs earlier this month, scoring a winner for Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Tottenham’s need for a centre-back will be determined by their ability to keep hold of star defender Toby Alderweireld this summer.
If they do end up looking for a replacement, Ake would be a tremendous addition, and this summer presents their best chance to get him.
