Chelsea and Southampton have been linked with West Ham United’s Andy Carroll in the January transfer window.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is considering making a move for the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker.
Conte is reportedly looking for a back-up to first-choice striker Alvaro Morata and is considering the 28-year-old.
Southampton are also reported to be interested in signing Carroll from West Ham in the January transfer window, with the Saints struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment.

Carroll is a good striker who knows the Premier League inside out, although there has been injury concerns in recent years.
Leaving the Hammers for Chelsea, who won the Champions League in 2011-12 and have progressed to the last-16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition this season, would be a step-up for the England international striker.

However, the 26-year-old would struggle to play regularly for the Blues, just as he is struggling to feature in the West Ham starting lineup on a regular basis at the moment.
Carroll joined West Ham on a permanent contract from Liverpool in the summer of 2013 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £15 million after spending the 2012-13 season on loan at the Hammers.
