Chelsea and Liverpool have both made an approach to sign Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, who according to the Sun will cost at least £30m.

Portuguese publication A Bola says that a switch to the Premier League is the most likely outcome for the highly rated 20-year-old and that both the aforementioned clubs have looked to make an early move.

Neves would be the second high profile player to leave the Estadio do Dragao in recent times, with Andre Silva having just completed a move to AC Milan for a reported £33.3m (Football Italia).

The Reds have been long-term admirers of the Portugal international and were linked, along with Manchester United, to the midfield ace last summer.

Arsenal have also shown interest in the past, but now either Anfield or Stamford Bridge seems the most likely destination for Neves – who is currently away with Portugal Under-21s at the Euros.

The youngster broke into the Porto first team in 2014 and since played 93 times for the club, but is yet to win any silverware with his boyhood side with Benfica having been crowned Primeira Liga champions the past three seasons.
