Jadon Sancho has struggled at Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, and Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are now being linked with the winger.

Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021.

Sancho was one of the best players in the Bundesliga at the time, and we all expected the former Manchester City prospect to star at Manchester United.

However, things have not been great for the English winger at Old Trafford.

Chelsea linked with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho

The 23-year-old has failed to play regularly for United and is now involved in a dispute with manager Erik ten Hag, according to The Athletic.

United reportedly wanted to offload Sancho in the summer of 2023.

The winger could reportedly leave United in the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea could be a potential option for the £250,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international winger.

“Juventus have been linked with an approach and some in the industry believe Sancho’s connections to London, the city he grew up in, make Chelsea a possible option,” states the report.

My View: Chelsea should avoid Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho

I do not think that Chelsea should try to sign Jadon Sancho from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2024.

I believe that Sancho would be a huge risk for Chelsea.

Sancho has not done much of note at United.

Yes, he is 23 now, but Chelsea have enough attacking players to not even try to bring Sancho to Stamford Bridge.

I believe that Chelsea do not need Sancho.

Sancho has made 58 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The English winger has scored nine goals and given six assists in those games.

Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from nine matches, eight points behind Liverpool in fourth.
