Cheikhou Kouyate was in good form for West Ham United last night.

David Moyes won his first point as West Ham United manager last night as the Hammers drew 1-1 with Leicester City at the London Stadium.
Cheikhou Kouyate managed a first-half header to get the Irons back on level terms after Marc Albrighton had fired the visitors ahead early on.

Kouyate has divided opinion within the West Ham fanbase this season, and many were still unhappy with him last night in spite of his goal, but the statistics illustrate just how effective he was in their midfield.
| Position | Team | Duel Won | Ball Recovery | Total Tackle | Won Tackle | Goals | Aerial Won | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cheikhou Kouyaté | MF | West Ham | 14 | 6 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 8 | 1 | 90 |
The Senegal international won more duels than any other player on the pitch (14) managed to recover possession for his side on six occasions.

It was an industrious performance from the big man who also successfully won all three of the tackles that he went in for, while he used his height to his advantage as well and won eight aerial duels – more than any other player on the pitch.
He still has a lot to prove to West Ham fans, and rightly so because he hasn’t been at his best this season, but last night’s performance was a good way to start winning them over once more.
