Che Adams has just started scoring for Southampton but his strike partner Danny Ings has been on fire all season.
Former Birmingham man Adams has lifted the lid on how good Ings is in training and told Sky Sports how helpful he has been this season.
Adams said of Ings: “He has been amazing on and off the pitch really. He is just a great guy to have around the training ground. It is no surprise how many goals he has got because in training he is unbelievable.
“Everything that he does, everything that he touches… he just oozes confidence. It is nice to see. He has definitely helped me to learn on the pitch because he is just a great footballer.”

We see it so often that a player comes into the Premier League and takes a bit of time to adapt.
That has been the case with Adams, and with Ings having such contrasting fortunes to him and banging in the goals this term.
From what Adams is saying, it seems there was no jealousy from this side and no selfishness on Ings’ part.
That’s all feeding into what Ralph Hasenhuttl is building at St Mary’s and the Saints boss will hope to have two fit and firing hitmen next term.
