Former Gateshead duo Connor Thompson and Cameron Salkeld are being chased by a number of clubs in England and Scotland on free transfers, HITC Sport understands.
The midfield pair are both free agents after leaving Gateshead at the end of the season with the club unable to offer new contracts to any of the squad due to financial problems.
Thompson joined Blackburn from Carlisle as a youngster, but failed to break into the first-team during his three years at Ewood Park.
The 23-year-old joined Gateshead last summer from Halifax and made 25 appearances in the National League this season.

Winger Salkeld came through the ranks at Carlisle and made two first-team appearances for the club in the EFL Cup before joining hometown club Gateshead last summer.
Salked was a regular in the Gateshead side this season and he caught the eye in 29 appearances for the club.
News of the availability of Thompson and Salkeld has alerted a number of clubs in England and Scotland who are looking to bolster their midfield options ahead of next season.
