HITC Sport understands former Newcastle striker Leon Best is on trial at Charlton.

Charlton Athletic are weighing up a move for former Newcastle and Southampton striker Leon Best, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Republic of Ireland international Best is a free agent after seeing out his contract at Ipswich Town at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old joined Ipswich last August on a free transfer following his departure from Rotherham United.
Best made 12 appearances in all competitions for Ipswich, but he did not feature again after an apparent bust-up with Portman Road boss Mick McCarthy after the FA Cup third round defeat to Lincoln in January.

The well-travelled striker is now looking to fix himself up with a new club and he has been offered the chance to try and win a move to League One Charlton.
Best has linked up with Charlton for training this week so that manager Karl Robinson can have a look at him at close quarters.
Charlton are currently in sixth spot in League One and Robinson may decide to add Best to his squad if he impresses during his training stint at the Valley.
Best boasts a wealth of experience having played in the Premier League, Championship and League One in his career, scoring 63 goals in over 300 first-team appearances.
