Some Charlton fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Glasgow Times claimed Celtic have had a second offer for Alfie Doughty rejected.
Neil Lennon’s side reportedly made an offer of £650,000 for the 20-year-old, following an opening bid of £400,000 for the midfielder.
Doughty is out of contract in June 2021, and the Hoops could offer him a pre-contract deal in January. Luton have also seen a bid rejected for the youngster.
The Glasgow Times’ report also states that Charlton are holding out for more cash; despite not wanting to lose the player.
Doughty started the Addicks’ League One opener against Crewe Alexandre, playing the full 90 minutes and scoring in a 2-0 win.

The London-born Addick made 29 Championship appearances last season, scoring two goals and setting up three more.
Charlton obviously won’t want to lose an exciting youngster, although the current uncertainty over the club’s future might force their hand.
The south Londoners have been told they could end up like Wigan, who are currently in administration after some turbulent times at the hands of their owners.

Times such as these usually mean that assets are sold, although it would be sad to see Doughty depart under such circumstances.
Let’s see what the Charlton fans on Twitter are saying about Celtic’s second bid…
