Charlton have been linked with Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.

According to Football London, Charlton Athletic lead the way to sign Chelsea’s highly rated youngster Conor Gallagher on a season-long loan deal.
The report claims the Blues are keen to loan out their Academy Player of the Year for the 2019/20 campaign and the Addicks are said to be the club closest to securing a move for him.
Gallagher is regarded as one of Chelsea’s brightest young talents. He helped the club to four youth trophies in 2018, while last season he travelled with the squad to the Europa League final.
The 19-year-old midfielder, however, has plenty of competition for places at Stamford Bridge and he is currently behind fellow youngster Mason Mount in his bid to push for a first-team role.
Charlton are back in the Championship after securing promotion from the League One playoffs last term.

The Addicks strongly relied on their midfield last season, but since the summer they’ve lost Joe Aribo who has signed for Rangers while loan star Josh Cullen has returned to parent club West Ham United.
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer knows he urgently needs to bolster his midfield ranks, and Gallagher could be the ideal solution with the Chelsea ace ready for regular first-team football at senior level.
