Celtic look set to offload Boli Bolingoli – and that means they will be in the market for another left back.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Bolingoli is nearing a move to Roma, just over a year since joining Celtic from Rapid Vienna.

Greg Taylor is Neil Lennon’s first-choice at the moment, but given Lennon’s tendency to switch between 4-2-3-1 and 3-5-2, any new left back should also be able to play as a left-wing back.

The main name being linked with a move to Parkhead is that of Alfie Doughty, with the Charlton Athletic ace heavily touted.

The Daily Record claim that Celtic are planning to offer £400,000 plus add-ons for Doughty, but won’t be held to ransom.

Doughty is out of contract next summer, so Celtic are prepared to wait to try and land him for a bargain fee if they have to do so.

Lee Bowyer has confirmed a bid has been rejected for the 20-year-old, who has hit two goals and three assists in 33 games for Charlton.

Addicks fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, believing that Celtic need to come up with much more money if they want Doughty.
