West Bromwich Albion are hoping to sign Charlie Taylor from Leeds United within the next few days.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly close to signing Leeds United defender, Charlie Taylor, this summer.
According to reports from The Birmingham Mail, the Baggies are trying to wrap up a deal for the 23-year-old left-back within the next few days.
Taylor is contracted with Leeds till the end of June, but Albion are hoping the defender would sign a pre-contract agreement with them and start working from 1st July.
He has made 29 appearances for Leeds this season, and has three assists to his name. Taylor would represent a smart signing for the Baggies. Here’s why.

This is one problem area that Tony Pulis has been addressing since he joined the club. Taylor is one of the best players for Leeds and his arrival would also help bring down the age of Albion’s maturing squad.

An early move suggests that West Brom are approaching the transfer market with a positive intent. Taylor could become the club’s first May signing since Gareth McAuley six years ago.
Adjustment
An early arrival means Taylor will get enough time to bed in and get used to the manager’s way of working. Besides, it will also allow him to be a part of the club’s pre-season training which is essential for fitness and team building.
