The Whites have won eight of their last 11 games in all competitions.
Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor has told the club’s official website that he believes the Whites have finally found stability and laid the foundations for a genuine sustained play-off push.
After an inconsistent start to the season and life under Garry Monk, Leeds appear to have hit their stride in recent weeks.
After Saturday’s 2-0 win over Burton Albion at Elland Road, the Yorkshire side have now won eight of their last 11 games in all competitions.
That form has seen them rise up the Championship table and they now sit in ninth place, just a single point off the final play-off place.
They have also booked a mouthwatering EFL Cup quarter-final date with Liverpool at Anfield at the end of the month by seeing off Fleetwood Town, Luton Town, Blackburn Rovers,and Norwich City.
Taylor, who has been absent for just two of his side’s 19 matches in all competitions so far this season, believes that the club have finally found stability and the mettle to sustain a play-off challenge.
The left-back told the club’s website: “Last Saturday was by no means our best performance of the season, but, and the gaffer reiterated it, the most important thing was the win. It has taken us closer to the play-offs and after a tough week the most important thing was to get the three points, which we managed to do.
“There is a lot more stability around the club now and I think this is the highest we have been in the league since I made my debut. There is a lot of positivity around the place at the minute and hopefully we can use that to really push towards the play-offs.
“Elland Road is bouncing at the moment, the ticket sales for Newcastle United are great and if we can get up towards the top of the table and get it sold out every week, it will be fantastic. We want to get the stadium rocking, make it a fortress and make it really difficult for when teams come here.”
Leeds have already seen off Saturday’s opponents Norwich City once this season, defeating them on penalties after a 2-2 after-extra-time draw in the EFL Cup fourth round a week ago.
A victory over the Canaries this weekend at Carrow Road would leave Leeds players and supporters dreaming of a top-six finish.
