Charlie Taylor has told BBC Radio Leeds that Leeds teammate Pontus Jansson has been brilliant during the early stages of his Elland Road career.
The centre-back – who is currently on loan with the Championship outfit from Torino – has already become a fan favourite with the Whites following a string of impressive displays.

And Taylor has echoed the supporters’ views by explaining how important the 25-year-old has already become to Garry Monk’s team.
“He’s brilliant,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.
“I think especially from corners and set-pieces, he takes a lot of pressure off the team and is a big commanding figure at the back there and he’s come into the team and made a great start to his Leeds career.”

The Irish Sun reported that Jansson will join the club permanently for £3.6m once he features in 20 games for the Peacocks, and Monk may be hoping that that kind of deal helps convince Taylor about the direction the club is going in.

And while it will take a lot more than a promising looking centre-back to convince Taylor that staying at Leeds is the right decision for his career, if Jansson can continue to influence games as he has so far, then it may, at least, leave the academy graduate with a decision to make.
Since he emerged into the first-team, Taylor has been the stand-out performer in the back-line as he has often played alongside mistake-prone teammates who have contributed to Leeds’ inability to mount any kind of promotion charge.
However, if Monk can maintain the current back four and they continue to provide the stability that makes the team much more difficult to break down, Taylor may perhaps hold off making a final decision on his future to see where the journey goes.
