Leeds United lost Charlie Taylor to Burnley on Thursday.
Charlie Taylor has told Burnley’s official website that it was “nice to hear” well-wishing comments from some Leeds United fans following his exit.
The left-back, 23, joined the Premier League side on a four-year deal earlier today.
In doing so, Taylor cut his ties with Leeds after a 14-year spell with the Yorkshire club and although a lot of fans were sad to see him go, many more washed their hands with him.

The young defender leaves the Whites on a free transfer after letting his contract run down, and refused to play United’s last Championship game of the season last term.
It was another reason for supporters to feel a bit gloomy after the wheels came off their Premier League promotion bid toward the end of an otherwise promising campaign.
“Last season was definitely a positive one for Leeds. It didn’t end too great, missing out on the play-offs but there’s definitely a lot of positives to take from that,” he told Burnley’s site.
“It was a tough decision in the end to leave, but one I had to make.
“It’s nice to hear some nice comments from Leeds fans. I was there a long time and it is sad to leave but I’m just looking forward to the next chapter in my life and kicking on.”
Leeds, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post, could pocket £7 million in compensation from Taylor’s exit when both clubs meet at a tribunal.
