The defender has barely featured since joining Burnley.
There was a considerable amount of excitement amongst Burnley supporters last summer when the club signed Charlie Taylor on a free transfer following his departure from Leeds United.
The defender arrived with an excellent reputation, with his vast potential indicating that he could be a long-term option at left-back for the club.
However, so far this season Taylor has had to be rather patient for opportunities, largely due to the consistency of regular left-back Stephen Ward.
Taylor, though, finally made his Premier League debut for Burnley last night as he featured as a substitute in the 1-0 victory over Stoke City after Ward went off injured.
It isn’t currently clear how long Ward will be out for, but Taylor produced an encouraging display last night and the 24-year-old will be eager to seize any opportunity that he is afforded.
Quick and an impressive crosser, Taylor is a very talented player and the 24-year-old will now hope that he can become increasingly involved for Burnley.
Getting into the side regularly ahead of Ward, who has played a major part in many of Burnley’s impressive performances this season, will certainly be a challenging task for Taylor, but he certainly deserves to be used more frequently as a rotation option.
