The Sky Sports pundit believes that West Ham United may well consider making a move for Watford’s Troy Deeney.

Before this season, Deeney had been a vital member of the Hornets squad, but he has been a more peripheral figure since Marco Silva arrived at Vicarage Road in the summer.

The Daily Star reported earlier this week that Silva may be willing to consider bids for Deeney this month, and Nicholas suggested that David Moyes’ previous interest in the striker would suggest to him that the Irons may be tempted into the race.
As Nicholas suggests, the Daily Mail reported in October 2016 that Moyes was keen to bring Deeney to the Stadium of Light, but obviously a deal did not take place.

And while it remains to be seen if Nicholas’ prediction proves to be accurate, some West Ham fans may not be entirely surprised if the pundit proves to be correct given that all of the Irons’ senior strikers have been linked with the London Stadium exit this month, with The Sun reporting that Moyes could consider offers for any of them.
Targeting Deeney may divide opinion, but he has good a decent record during his time in the top flight and may perhaps relish the chance to seek a fresh challenge.
